My latest parcel from Funkie Junkie. YES.... I finally have some Grungeboard. I can't wait to use the new stamps. Thanks Linda for the free gifts and wonderful service.

Small Christmas Books

Hi Bloggers....are you getting excited about Christmas.....I AM!!!
Only 4 more sleeps.....I just wanted to share with you some small Christmas Books...being the appropriate time and all to share my Christmas Creations. I made these books because I had alot of left over pieces of paper, stickers and embellishments that needed to be used up. All 3 of these books have been made using one piece of  12x12 paper  for each of them. It's amazing what you can create with leftovers.

In the book below I have used left over papers from Megs Garden.

                                                           Trapped Snow Flake, back page.

Thanks for stopping by....enjoy your evening.

Family Tree on a Printers Tray

Hi Bloggers,

Today I have for you a 7 Gypsies Printers Tray which I have used to place photos in for a family tree. These photos date back to the 1800's. This is a whole family, the parents are in the small frames with all they're children surrounding them. There was one empty slot so I placed a small bottle with a rolled up butterfly from the G45 paper range in it. There is a large Snow Flake (Martha Stewart) which has been glittered, and I have added a Graphic45 knob on the front of it. I thought the Snow Flake necessary as the family is from Holland. There are some scrolled papers which I have just stamped and inked. A Fleur De Lis (have I spelt that right ) embellishment. I have also used Delish Diamond Brads (my all time favourite) and Kaisercraft Flowers.

Looking at photos like this makes me wonder what they were they spent theyre days.....obviously they weren't wealthy so they would of had alot of chores to do....what were they're favourite foods....where did they live.....what became of them....what was they're journey in life???? So many questions and still guessing!!

So there you have it........a different way to display your photos when you have alot of them.

Have a great day!

Cheers for now

Christmas Card Ideas

Hello bloggers,

If you haven't made your christmas cards yet you may want to stick around because there are ONLY 6 sleeps to go............if you are planning to still make your own cards and haven't a clue where to start here are some ideas for you.   If you want to make it REALLY REALLY easy on yourself choose one design and stick to it. By now I'd be guessing your pretty short on time with only 6 sleeps left  try not  to make too many different  designs.

This is really crazy there are roughly 14 different designs here....having said that I did sell quite a few cards last year. This year I was good and only made one design with slight variations.

I hope you have already finished your cards but if not have a look at mine, hopefully theres something you can take away and use yourself.

Snowman Shaker Card

These were pretty time consuming. The one with the 3 circles is my favourite.

Any questions drop me a line. Happy Card Making.

Christmas Cards 2012

On some of the cards I also stamped a reindeer behind the fence and placed a red or green bauble on the front of the fence. I make baubles using a small circular punch with glitter cardstock and a small grass punch in silver paper  to be placed up side down at the top of the bauble. Sorry I had sealed the envelopes before I realised I didn't have a picture.
These cards were still a little time consuming but once everything was die cut and glittered I assembled them quickly. Quite plain simple really.

The Tags were all the normal manilla folder cream colour and were inked on both sides with Vintage Photo before being stamped, this was time consuming. The edges were then distressed with Tim Holtz tool. I spritzed them with Perfect Pearls Mist Bronze which really gave them a nice finish. The number 25 was embossed in red. I stamped on the back of them To: From:

Mansion /Train Tag Scenery

I just wanted to quickly share with you a scene I created using 6 luggage tags. Basically I just pulled out some stamps, ink and an embossing folder for the brick wall. I stamped the clouds using a large stamp and cut them out. I'm not so sure that its totally to scale....but ok for my 1st attempt.

Hope you've had a great day!

Delish Brads

Good day bloggers,

Can anyone tell me where I can find more of these brads? They really are delish and are of a really high quality. I've looked high and low on the internet and am beginging to get quite frustrated as I'm now on my last packet.
                                           DELISH BRADS
The only information I have found is that they were an Australian company that is no longer around. I'm not sure if this is true.
I  have found some other similar ones on which have 6  in a packet but they are not clear like these.
Please....please  let me know if you know of anyone who may have some in stock.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by today....

Hopeful with fingers crossed

Beautiful Bling

Today I would like to share with you some ribbon flowers. These are so easy to make and with the right tools you will have a box full in no time. I made the large one in a class at Paper Flourish with Mandii. They really are stunning and alot of fun to make!

You will need:

A cardboard circle
Glue (Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive)

Depending on the size flower you would like to make is what ever size circle you will use. Obviously the wider the ribbon the bigger the circle. The large flower was made using a 2" circle punch. The smaller flowers I used a 1 1/2 " circle punch.
All you do is glue up your circle and start placing the ribbon around the outer edge and slowly work your way to the middle. It's up to you wheather you gather as you go. You will need to re-glue as you go as this glue dries really fast. I leave a very small spot in the middle empty because I like to add a brad. Leaving it without a brad also looks nice and using double sided ribbon especially two toned is alot of fun.
I hope you like them.....sorry my photos aren't crash hot........they will be soon as I'm looking at  buying a new camera.........they will be smoking hot then...I can't wait. LOL.

Cheers for now

Christmas Countdown

I'm a day late....but here it is My Christmas Count Down. I have inked it all over with Vintage Photo Distress Stain a few times to achieve the look I was after. The Flourish Desk Calendar is from Kaisercraft.

The image of the boy and girl is from Kaisercraft paper Turtle Dove Collection Lords, and is backed with black card stock. The red paper is from Pion design 'Waiting for Santa II' , another beautiful collection of papers. The chipboard numbers and letters are also from Kaisercraft and have been inked with Tarnished Brass Distress Stain.  The small Christmas Tree is from  Tim Holtz Woodlands and inked in Peeled Paint, with 450 Quick Dry glue strung around it and then glittered with Allisonellisdesign 'Snow White' Glitter.
450 Glue was also used along with Glossy Accents to prepare the now and then Martha Stewarts Crystalina fine glitter sprinkled.

The spare numbers are stored in the back.

This larger image is for when Christmas Day arrives.

Kaisercraft Turtle Dove Golden Rings Paper. Isn't is beautiful!

Introducing  THE OLDE CURIOSITY SHOPPE book I have made from scratch with alot of help from Annespapercreations. I can't thank-you enough Anne for all the wonderful videos you provided on You Tube.

The papers used here are from Graphic 45 called Olde Curiosity Shoppe. Don't ask me how many sheets of 12x12 paper or Black card stock I have used. This is by far my biggest project yet and my favourite to date.
There is ALOT of Fussy Cutting, Secret Pockets, Tags, Secret Journaling Spots, Large Photo Mats, Flip out and Flip up Pages  throughout.

You will find some wierd and wonderful items here for sale. I'm going to show you through the book page by page, this could take a while.
So sit back and relax.............................................................................. I hope you enjoy browsing through my book as much as I have making it.

Front Cover/Spine has a Tim Holtz Lantern, glass bottle, the front door opens to reveal the lady shop keeper whom you will see through out the book. Obviously the shop number is 45.

Book Closure, I have used Graphic 45 Metal Labels which have been bent and a large metal brad, Tim Holtz Chain link and Basic Grey magnets.

This page is basically  a replica of Annespapercreations front page...I loved it so much I had to have my own.
The clocks have been fussy cut just enough to place some tags behind.

If you would like to make your own book (which is a lot of fun and it will stretch your knowledge and skills of how things are put together) please do........head over to Annespapercreations where you will find video upon video (17 I think) on how to create your own book.
You adjust it to suit you and your tastes and omit anything that you don't require....believe me this project was a blast!

If you have any questions or comments please don't hesitate to post them. I'd love to hear what you think.

Thank-you so much for stopping by today. I really appreciate it.
