Dear Santa Journal

Hello and welcome,

What better day than today to share my Dear Santa Journal with you. This journal is made from manilla folders. The idea for the front cover came from Shelly Hickox. I loved her piece so much I had to have one for myself. Here is the link to the tutorial.

Now the idea to use manilla folders came from a wonderfully talented New Zealand lady by the name of Michelle...... Here is the Youtube link.
If you like tea are going to absolutely LOVE her chanel.

I used a couple of other people ideas and went ahead and did my own thing with the layout and pockets etc. I used Grunge board, Chipboard and a huge selection of Christmas papers I had in my stash. Any questions just drop me a line.  It's so easy and a HEAP of FUN.

I thought perhaps this could be a Dear Santa Journal for a child to write in each year what they would like for Christmas.  What a lovely thing to be able to look back on.

Behind the magnatised tag is a hidden encvelope

The back.  Probably my FAVOURITE page.  On the background star I thought I had used Glossy turned out to be crackle accents. I love how it turned out. I suppose that's what can happen when you have so many items on your desk at once.  How GORGEOUS is this blue snowflake?

I'm so pleased with the way it turned out just had to share it. If you have a spare moment please  let me know what you think and don't forget to leave your link so I can visit you too.

Have a great day!

Merry Christmas!

Hello every-one,

I just LOVE this time of year!!!  Don't you? 1 more sleep to go and there is alot of excitement here from a 7 and 2 year old.
It's been another good year....most of the troops are home safely for Christmas, we are all happy and healthy so what more could we ask for? Some snow perhaps...that would be nice. Not likely to happen in Australia though. O'h well.

Next year I want  to focus on adding a lot more texture and grunge to my projects and to complete Chemistry 102 with Tim.

Anyway I would like to wish you all a wonderful Christmas and an amazing 2014 full of crafting.
Have wonderful celebrations and I hope you all receive that special little something.
A VERY BIG WELCOME to all my new followers it's lovely having you over here.
Finally;) a  huge THANK-YOU for all the wonderfully encouraging comments.

See you all soon.

Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas!

The Snowman is back!!

Today I am showing the tags I placed in every-ones envelopes this year.  Yes you guessed it they are Snowmen. My Sizzix die has certainly be well utilized this Christmas.  I cut out double the snowmen needed only embossing half then using Glossy Accents to glue the backs on.

This is a tag I made for some-one whom I thought would like some cogs instead of a snowman.

These are my Christmas Cards/Tags this year.

Have a great day!!

New find

Hello again,

I wanted to show you the latest find for my craft studio.  I was walking past a shop in Modbury Triangle and this was out the front....HALF PRICE reduced to $50.  I just had to have know how things just start calling your name.  You know what I'm talking about I'm sure.  Now the thing is I have no idea what I'm going to store in it and I am thinking of altering it by painting around outside black.  I wouldn't be doing anything to the drawers themselves.  Any thoughts would be helpful and appreciated.

Thanks for stopping by.

Show me the Way!!

Hello and welcome,

Wow!! Isn't this just the best time of year?  I LOVE surprising people with gifts. First I bought 11 lanterns....yes I though that will be for the class for the dear pottery for the science teacher....two for the ladies in the each for the daycare ladies......and so on and so on.......and my list became longer and longer. So back to the shop to snaffle me another 7.   Still hoping in the back of my mind this would be enough. Well I managed to control myself if that's what you can call it. I made do with the now 18. There are none left....not even one for me.

Anyway I placed a battery operated tea light in each one, made some snowman tags and hung some ornaments on them.

You will be seeing a pattern here this year....everything is either a lantern or a snowman.
Enjoy the rest of your day!!

Light me up Snowy

Hello and welcome,

I hope you are all well and slowing getting into the Christmas spirit .
Today I am sharing with you some Snowmen I decorated for my daughters class mates.  I made 30 in total....always have to have spares in case there is a malfunction and  a child gets one that's not working....right??  Always thinking ahead.  Well it all went well they looked amazing when I carried the tray into class with all they're little noses glowing brightly.  It was a lot of fun seeing all the delighted faces as they were handed out.
Hope you can make it out in the photo...they have a loop at the top so you can hang them from the tree or anywhere for that matter.  I would love to see a Christmas tree full of cute. Only problem is the batteries only last about 2 days.

Unfortunately I cannot take credit for this idea as I did not come up with it. So in all fairness I am going to give credit where it is due. I found them on Pinterest.  This is the link

I will post my Christmas cards shortly. Thanks for stopping by.

Postal Tags

Hello....sorry I haven't posted in a while been very busy creating Christmas gifts and cards which I will post once they have been received.

So for today's post.....some postal tags......Gone are the days when you heard the posties whistle coming down the road. Not that I remember this as I am way to young......but I hear that's what he used to do when delivering the daily mail.

This Red Tag I entered into a blog challenge over at a while ago.

I thought travelling on a train may require a book or two.

Here is a sneak peak into a Tag I have created for my Titanic Book.

Just a bit of fun creating.
Till next time....
