ANZAC DAY......April 25 is probably Australia's most important national occasion.

It marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australia and New Zealand forces during the First World War. For those who don't know...ANZAC stands for Australia and New Zealand Army Corps. Today we commemorate all who have fought for our freedom from all Military Operations involving Australia and New Zealand.

There are commemorative services held at dawn, later in the day ex-servicemen and women take part in marches through the major cities. A Dawn Service is held to honour those that sacrificed they're lives, a period of silence and  the National Anthem. Red Poppies are placed on the Memorials Roll of Honour.
There are a lot of stories shared over cleansing ailes throughout the day and two-up just to name a few.
Today we all come together to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.  Perhaps a stranger to some of us who paid the ultimate sacrifice, but they were still some ones father/mother some ones son/daughter some ones brother/sister...... someone we remember and deeply thank.. We also place thoughts with those still serving today.

So a very big THANK-YOU to ALL who have sacrificed.

Here is my very first scrapbook layout I've ever attempted. I hope it covers everything today is about.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.

Surfs Up!!

WOW.....the birthdays just keep coming and coming.

What a nice time to celebrate a very special day.

Today I share with you a birthday card I made for my sweet nephew.

Below is the envelope. I glued the image on and covered it a few times with Modge Podge so as it doesn't get damaged through the post or catch on the sorting machines hopefully.

Have a wonderful day! Until next time......

Happy Birthday !!

Today I am showing another birthday card....this one for a very special person.

Happy Birthday to my Wonderful Grandfather whom has just turned 90 years old.

He used to be in the Air Force therefore there had to be a plane...... a  banner flowing with 90 on it and a large clock following through the air as the plane circles for everyone to see how much of a special day this is.  Doesn't time fly.

I really enjoyed making this card.
Have a great day!

Happy Birthday to you!!

Yes I am still alive and well, just been having trouble working out everything on our new computers. FINALLY I am back and I have a card to share today. I have already had quite a few birthday cards to make which I will be sharing with you. This is the first one.

I made this card  for a very special friend of mine whom I have known for many many years. We met briefly  in grade three and have been friends ever since. I visited beautiful Wales where she lives when I was 21 and spent some time catching up with her and her lovely family. I had a wonderful time.
I don't post cards on here until the recipient has received it. I believe seeing's as its their birthday card they should be the 1st to see it.

So......Happy Birthday Correana!

The ribbon flower was made by hand and a Diamante placed in the middle. I also placed some green ribbon behind  and a black feather and some black lace across the bottom.

I placed this tag inside the card and just added some ribbon. I love this tag die and the paper.

If you have any questions or comments I would love to hear them.

Until next time have a great day.
