ANZAC DAY......April 25 is probably Australia's most important national occasion.

It marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australia and New Zealand forces during the First World War. For those who don't know...ANZAC stands for Australia and New Zealand Army Corps. Today we commemorate all who have fought for our freedom from all Military Operations involving Australia and New Zealand.

There are commemorative services held at dawn, later in the day ex-servicemen and women take part in marches through the major cities. A Dawn Service is held to honour those that sacrificed they're lives, a period of silence and  the National Anthem. Red Poppies are placed on the Memorials Roll of Honour.
There are a lot of stories shared over cleansing ailes throughout the day and two-up just to name a few.
Today we all come together to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.  Perhaps a stranger to some of us who paid the ultimate sacrifice, but they were still some ones father/mother some ones son/daughter some ones brother/sister...... someone we remember and deeply thank.. We also place thoughts with those still serving today.

So a very big THANK-YOU to ALL who have sacrificed.

Here is my very first scrapbook layout I've ever attempted. I hope it covers everything today is about.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.
