Hello and Welcome,

Today I am sharing my very first Canvas with you all.  The occupants are my partners Great Grand Parents. I placed a lot of metal embellishments, flowers, pins, buttons, clocks, beads, other pieces from my stash and some lace which looks AMAZING when you colour it.

I used white Gesso on almost everything then sprayed it with the following Lindy's Stamp Gang Sprays:
Gossamer Gold
Dark Chocolate Truffle
Mystic Malachite
Green with Envy Green
Frolic in the Forest Black

If you are thinking about purchasing sprays for your projects I can highly recommend them.  They arrive in powder form for you to add your own postage isn't expensive.

Don't forget there are heaps of videos on You are a couple I like:
Gabrielle Pollacco
Mark Perry

I hope this post has given you some inspiration to start one of your own if you haven't already.  Enjoy the rest of your day wherever you happen to be in this wonderful world.

New Find Update

Just an update on my new find.  I've decided not to alter this piece for now.  I have however found some items to fill it up. YEY!!  The drawers are 14 x 15 cm so I can fit quite a bit in them. In these generous sized drawers I've placed Alcohol Inks, different size Tags, Pine Cones, Washi Tape, Halloween Skeletons and Tims Christmas Trees. It's come in very handy.

Thankyou for the helpful comments on the last post regarding this piece too. Very much appreciated.
Have a crafty day!

Tims 12 Tags of 2014...... January!

Hello and welcome,

Today I am entering into Tim's Tag Challenge for the very first time.  I didn't have all of the same materials, so I just used what I had available to me.  Instead of the pocket watch I used my World Globe die.  I also didn't have the Pumice stone distress stain so instead used the Pumice Stone distress paint.  I learn't a couple of new techniques like splatting the paint all over the tag which was a lot of fun. I'm really happy with the end result.  Pop over to Tim's blog and see all the great entries.
