Hello and welcome,

Today I am sharing a male card I completed yesterday.   I thought it appropriate to add this to a Challenge over at  A Vintage Journey. Here is the link......

The proud Sponsor is: Country View Crafts

Tim's Influence for this project : from Compendium of Curiosities #3 I have used Tim's Painted Industrial  and Effect Powders Techniques. I have also done some stencilling and inking. When I think of something for a man I always think Grunge of some form. This time I have tried used the Effect Powders Technique which I will now be using heaps more.

Front of Card

Back of card. I have used Pumice Stone & Black Soot Distress Ink, some Greeting & Cog Stickers, Tim's Ideaology Borders Arrow, Two stencils one being Tim's 'Measured' the other a brick wall.

A close up of the Effect Powders Technique.....LOVE THIS!  Instead of using one powder I have used 4, Liquid Platinum, Black and two different Coppers.

I also need to mention that Tim and Mario have kindly given some very cool items up for the winner.

Here is my copy.......

The Sponsor for this Challenge is The funkie Junkie. If you haven't shopped with Linda you really must. I have shopped there many times and she does have the best Customer Service. Here is the link........
There is a $25 Voucher for the Winner!!

I thought it was time for another journal page so here we go......I have named it The Ancient Ruins! Falling debris.

Here is my grunge board and grunge paper with Tim's Glitter Technique that you will find in the book above. A little time consuming making so many.... but loads of fun.

Here is my journal page....pretty blank. I started inking.

I blended these inks into the background and also used them on the stencils. I have started to add washi tape.

Now I need some stamping. This has got to be my favourite Love it!

Here I have added Distress Paint, spritzed it with water then given it a light wipe with a paper towel, then heat dried it.

Here is the finished piece.

The glittery Ruins!

As I was creating I was starting to visualize the movie National Treasure. It reminded me of something you would find away and beyond under ground.

I LOVE the frameworks dies and the Distress Glitters. Two really fine products to work with. I have thoroughly enjoyed creating this piece.

I hope you have enjoyed your visit here today.

Tim's 12 Tags of 2014 - May

Hello and welcome,

Its Tim Time! Hooray!!!

Today I am sharing with you my interpretation of Tim's Tag for May. This time we are making tiles. I have entered this piece into the Challenge.

Here is Tim's Tag and the link for his tutorial....

Here is my creative process......

This is shrinky dink that has been stamped on. Now I am adding some alcohol inks.

These are my treasures for the tiles. The Titanic Medallion I purchased in 2010 when the Artifacts came to Melbourne Australia. On most of the embellishments I have added some distress paints randomly.

Here are my tiles.

I used papers from Tim's new Wallflower paper pad.

I am on my second packet of monocles already.

I am a little obsessed with the Titanic.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Fond Memories

Hello and welcome,

Today I am sharing with you my Collection Folio.

A Vintage Journey is running a challenge called Fond Memories. I can't say I have memories of these photos being taken as I wasn't even born, but I can say the shear joy and excitement of receiving all this information on my ancestors and putting this piece together has given me heaps of fond memories.  The information in my folio dates back to 1786, and as time goes by I will be adding more photos and information.  It is based on my maternal grandmothers family.

Here is the link...... if you would care to pop on over and check out all the amazing work there.

Yes there is a prize and it is sponsered by Country View is the link

My Tim Inspiration for this particular piece, where do I start??  Well I had  in my hot little hands his new Collection Folio.  LOVE LOVE LOVE the Collection Folio's.  I recently bought some of Tim's Phrases,Arrows & Numbers and desperately wanted to try out his Altered Surfaces Technique in Compendium of Curiosities #3.  Love this technique and will be using it more.  Oh my the Cabinet Card Frames....Oh my the cabinet card frames....did I already say that? I had all these gorgeous packets in front of me and all these loose photos needing a new home. PERFECT!  Can't forget the Monocles, these are so vintage and I have used two of them which you will find hanging on the outside of the folio. I have inked, distressed, stenciled, torn, alcohol inked what ever I could get my hands on. Lots of fun and a wonderful piece I can now put to good use for further generations. Hope you enjoy it too.

Now there are a few may want to get a cuppa before you scroll down.

What a lovely mess.

Getting started.

Here I stamped a pen onto paper then glued a cabochon on. Let it dry completely.

After cutting around edge of cabochon turn upside down and glue another image (here I have used a piece from a tag) then glue the flat side to the Monocle.

Here is the Cabochon, on the left is the pen image and on right is music notes.

Here is the altered surface technique.

The Spine is covered in Washi tape.

I have used Alcohol Inks on Tim's Film Strip. This hook is for the embellishments to hang from.

Lets see whats inside.

There is still room here for more envelopes as needed.

Here I glued a fragment (which has already had an image placed on it)  onto the butterfly image already on the paper.

Opening top flap.

Bottom flap.

I have added images and pockets/envelopes to both sides of the insert. So now we start flipping from right to left.

Its all in Dutch.

My mum is yet to translate it for me.

Plenty of room in the back for more.

One side of tags.

Reverse side.

There you have it. I hope you enjoyed browsing my folio as much as I had making it.
Have a great day!!
