Challenge 6- All About Him!

Hello and welcome,

Today I am sharing a male card I completed yesterday.   I thought it appropriate to add this to a Challenge over at  A Vintage Journey. Here is the link......http://www.vintagejourney.com/2014/05/challenge-6-all-about-him.html

The proud Sponsor is: Country View Crafts http://www.countryviewcrafts.co.uk/

Tim's Influence for this project : from Compendium of Curiosities #3 I have used Tim's Painted Industrial  and Effect Powders Techniques. I have also done some stencilling and inking. When I think of something for a man I always think Grunge of some form. This time I have tried used the Effect Powders Technique which I will now be using heaps more.

Front of Card

Card Opened

Back of card. I have used Pumice Stone & Black Soot Distress Ink, some Greeting & Cog Stickers, Tim's Ideaology Borders Arrow, Two stencils one being Tim's 'Measured' the other a brick wall.

A close up of the Effect Powders Technique.....LOVE THIS!  Instead of using one powder I have used 4, Liquid Platinum, Black and two different Coppers.

I hope you have enjoyed your visit today! Thanks so much for stopping by.

Wow Karen, this is fabulous! I have never seen a card in this shape but I love it. I love the two Tim techniques you have used and also your very subtle stencilling. Any man would be delighted to receive this! Thanks so much for joining in our All About Him Challenge at A Vintage Journey. Anne x

Wow! what a surprising beautiful card!: tough by the colours and the metallic theme, but round, and opening... A great idea! Lys.

Cool! I really like the Steampunk feel of this very masculine card, and the interconnected circle dies design is brilliant. I just purchased Tim's 1st book on clearance, and love it. However, it may be a while before I can afford the next two books, since I will have 2 girls in college next year. Blessings!

This is such a fabulous card. I'm in awe. Love the way you put it together ... those circles are perfect. And you have done such an incredible job with the finishes. Great mixture of embossing powders for the rust. One of my favorite grunge cards!! Pinned! -- Mary Elizabeth
