Compendium of Curiosities 3 Challenge #16

Here we are again,

Linda Ledbetter at Studio L3 has another challenge for us:
Layering Stencil: Embossing on page 50, this is where you need to be to enter this challenge.

If you need a copy of Tim's book click HERE as there are still heaps of challenges to be had. Tim and Mario are offering an amazing prize pack too.

The sponsor is The Funkie Junkie  offering a $25 to one very lucky winner. Pop over and check out Linda's wonderful boutique for all your crafty supplies.

I have a Christmas card for you today.

When using this technique I like to re-position the stencil to add another colour creating a shadow. On this particular card I have left the background white to allow that shadow to pop. The skates were cut from Tim's Ice Skates die. The texture on the skates was created using a stamp in the background, then adding embossing paste through a stencil,  adding acrylic paints and finally finishing with Aleene's Glitter Snow. The laces are just some string. The Seasons Greetings is from kaiser craft paper.

Hope you like my card....any questions please feel free to leave them below.

Have a great day!!

Karen...your card is beautiful. Your background colors are soft yet so "Christmas-y". Those skates...oh those skates! I adore them! I absolutely love the technique of using embossing powder through the stencil. That looks amazing! Thanks so much for sharing your art and this lovely card with all of us at CC3C. <3 Candy

I could have sworn I left a comment on your blog. I love what you've done by jazzing up the technique by shifting the stencil. Genius! Love your beautiful card!
