Tims 12 Tags of 2014 December

Hello,

Well I can't believe this is the very last Tim tag for 2014. I have completed my first 12 months and it has been a wonderful journey.

If you would like to see the full tutorial pop on over to the Tim Holtz blog......HERE

Simon Says Stamp & Inspiration Emporium are where you can find all your crafty supplies for this and many more tags you may like to create.

Ok onto my December Tag:

I used individual stamps which I placed onto a stamping block to create my own background stamp.

Love these sprays!!!

I didn't have Tim's Frosted.....so I used his Frosted Film instead.

I love the effect of sprinkling less glitter onto the star instead of a heavy coverage. Hasn't showed up too well here.

Thanks for all the AMAZING inspiration for 2014 Tim! Love  your work. Looking forward to 2015!!!
Thank-you lovely crafter's for visiting here today!

Merry Christmas!

Hello and welcome,

Have yourself a Merry little Christmas, so the songs goes. I hope you enjoy the company of those around you. Eat and be Merry!!!

My thoughts are also with those who have lost loved ones this year, especially in the recent Glasgow and Sydney incidents and the 8 beautiful children from Cairns.

This year I decided to make 12 of Tim's Luminary Lanterns and hang them above our table. The photos really haven't done them much justice. It almost looks like Harry Potters Dining table.

The only snow we are likely to encounter here in Australia. A polystyrene ball covered in Tim's Clear Rock Candy Glitter. The red ones I have used Tim's Festive Berries Glitter.

Have a wonderful day!

End of Year Gifts!

Hello,

Welcome to my newest followers. I'm so pleased to have you on board. Thanks so much for all the lovely comments too. They are greatly appreciated.
DON'T FORGET I AM HAVING A GIVEAWAY ONCE MY FOLLOWER LIST REACHES 100 SO MAKE SURE YOU POP BACK.

I would like to share with you our end of year gifts
Our year 2 school teacher Mrs C and the daycare workers that look after our youngest child have been absolutely fabulous this year!! So A HUGE thank-you  for your care and compassion in our children's development. Words can not express how thankful we are for people like you.
I hope this very small gesture shows how much we appreciate you all.

Now for the year 2 school class mates.....

Stamping Santa 30 times in black archival ink

Colouring in with red and black copic markers. Then I added glitter glue  to the front of Santa's hat, the pom pom and the white edges of his jacket. Black was used to colour his belt. Cutting out Santa was a little time consuming but worth the effort.

The all important base of the matchbox which I have added a brad to create the handle

Here I have added a thin piece of acetate with sticky dots to the back of Santa. Hes bends backwards nicely into the box. The lid goes over the top.

When you remove the lid Santa pops up and there is a treat revealed. Who doesn't love a chocolate gold coin.

To the covers I have added Aleene's Glitter Snow and some greeting stickers.

These were made using the Tim Holtz Matchbox Die.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Christmas Cards 2014

Hello again,

I promised a little while ago I would be back with some Christmas Cards.
Well here they are:

This image is from Joanna Sheen's Christmas Creations CD.

Here I have used Tim's Layered Stencil Technique on page 50 of Compendium of Curiosities 3.

I'm not sure where I got this print as I printed them off a couple of years ago, if you know where this image is from I would like to add a link here.

This 12 Days of Christmas background stamp is from Kaszazz. I have added texture paste through a stencil over the top.  I have used vintage photo and walnut stain ink pads and Vintage Photo Distress Embossing Powder. The star was made using Tim's Painted Industrial Technique which you can find on page 46 of CC3. This card has been entered into a challenge #21 over at A Vintage Journey.

Card below:  I have used texture paste through a stencil then stamped over the top. I have used either  Vintage Photo or Walnut Stain Distress Spray. The background of the image is from a printout from Kerryanne English who is from Shabby Art Boutique. I printed these off in 2012 and am  trying to use some supplies up. There was a different image that I covered with another stamped Santa. Around the edges I have used Aleenes Glitter Snow.

This is another card with Tim's Layered Stencil. I have used two colours. on the stencilling and Vintage Photo ink in the background.

This Vintage Tag is also from Kerryanne English 2012 at The Shabby Art Boutique

This card has been entered into a challenge over at Linda Ledbetter's Studio L3 Compendium of Curiosities 3 Challenge #16, so you may have seen it over there already.

This butterfly card you would have seen in a challenge over at CC3, Coloured Crackle.

Any questions please feel free to ask me in the comments. So, that's just some of my creations for the Festive Season 2014. Thanks so much for visiting!!
Have a wonderful day!!

UPDATE:
Oops I  forgot to add  my Tim Influence: to add lots of grunge and I have also used Tim's Painted Industrial Technique on the star. The 12 Days of Christmas background stamp  is from Kaszazz.  I have added texture paste through a stencil over the top. I have also used Vintage Photo Distress Powder around the edges.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Enjoy the rest of your day!!

Pay it Forward

Hello again,

I am playing catch up so I apologize in advance you may receive a few posts one after the other. Today I wanted to share with you a swap I did with Maureen from VICTORIA STUDIO . If you want to see some beautiful works of art please click on the link above.
This swap was done through Pay it Forward. Up to 5 people were able to join in  and we could make anything as long as it was sent by the end of the year. The lovely Maureen said she would swap with me. YEY!!!  How happy was I to be swapping with this amazingly talented lady. Well now that Maureen has received her parcel I can share with you what I made for her.  I decided to go with a wildlife, fauna type theme as she has posted before some of the native wildlife that come to visit her at her property.

Here is the domino book I made.

After dying the ribbon which was white, I have fussy cut these cute butterflies, added glossy accent and once dry added them to the end of the ribbon.

I have done some stamping in the background. then I added my images and have added crackle accent and glossy accents. I would have liked to use Ice resin over the top but it hadn't arrived.

The Back.

On the sides of the dominoes you can see the Alcohol Inks I have added.

Here are just a few extra goodies I popped in for Maureen. I hope she finds them useful. I also have one of these signs in my studio.......I knew this spare one would came in handy.

Front of the postal bag which I covered with gesso, then texture paste was added. I used various acrylic paints then did some stamping over the top. The gold crown has been heat embossed.

Back of bag. After the stamping was finished I did add a sealer then clear packing tape around all the edges once the bag was sealed. Sometimes these bags can split on the sides.

Finally finishing off with a Christmas Tag.

I hope Maureen liked all the goodies in her parcel. This was my very first swap and I hope to do more in 2015. It was a lot of fun. I will be back soon with the amazing present I received.
