Tims12 Tags of 2015

Hello and welcome,

Well here we are December 2015......I have my last Tim Tag to share with you.

Click HERE to check out all the details.

Our local craft supply shop doesn't stock Tim's Burlap so I purchased the next best thing from Kaisercraft. 20 sheets......YEY... LOVE THIS PRODUCT.....AWESOME!!!!

Love how this pattern took so well to the burlap.

Mirror look like a snowflake.

First time I have used Tim's Distress Papers....I know some of you would be very shocked by this......another AWESOME.

I thought I would use Glassine this time instead of ribbon, since we are going rustic with the burlap anyway.

Added some sewing. More Fun.

Adding some rub-ons to the star and paint to the numerals.
I also added a silver frame and used Tim's splatter brush (love this too by the way) with Picket Fence paint.

3 BIG ticks from me.....Tim's Splatter Brush /Distress Papers and  HOORAY for Burlap.

2015.....a time to remember those we sadly lost this year. Love You and until we meet again.

Have a wonderful Christmas Eve. Thanks for stopping by.

12 Tags of 2015 November

Hello and welcome,

Well I can't believe it.......I have been crafting ALL day today and I feel amazing, OK I think I may have hurt my lower back again but it was all worth it. lol. Awe I think I need a hot water bottle, actually better still better book a massage in tomorrow. I will be absolutely fine.

I have had a blast completing my TIM Tag, there are no progress photos as I was totally lost in the moment.
Originally I thought I would create a tag about writing down your memories, then I took my rub-ons out and saw the word Paris so I thought why not make this about all the wonderful people that have so sadly lost they're lives in Paris. No-one can take precious memories away from you and that's what I hope the friends and families of the fallen can focus on, and the good times they had together. Our hearts and thoughts go out to every-one in France. xxxxx

Spray Stains:Frayed Burlap/Ground Espresso
Paint: Antique Linen
Thinlits Die: Happy Holidays
Stamps: Paris to London/Typography
Archival Ink: Jet Black
Gold Leaf Foil
Sticky Dots/Glossy Accents?Scissors/Manilla Tag/Water Color Paper/UHU Glue/Tims mini Brads
To color the hand I used  a water brush  and the Distress Ink Pads Faded Jeans, Pumice Stone, Antique Linen and a little Black Soot Distress Marker.
I added Glossy Accents to the pen.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Stay Safe every-one.

Happy Halloween

Hello and welcome,

I hope you are all well and squeezing in more craft projects than I seem to be these days. I have been trying my hand at Calligraphy again, and am having a lot of fun. I apologize to my wonderful followers for being absent of late, hopefully that will change very soon.

We are moving house at the beginning of 2016, going back to Sydney this time as my partner works for Defence. I'm hoping to pop back into the Calligraphy Group in Sydney of which I was once a member when we are settled in.  So you see I have been just a little busy with organizing somewhere to live and new schools, Kindergartens etc. As most crafters out there would understand we have to have a minimum of four bedrooms as I still need my Winton Rose Studio. So we've found a lovely two story house with four bedrooms and a study. Perfect!!

I have also signed up for the online class Wanderlust starting on 1st January which goes for 50 weeks I believe. I'm hoping it will get me motivated and excited to try new techniques. Over 25 teachers will be on this journey including the magnificent Finnabair, Andy Skinner, France Papillon and our very own Rachel Greig from Darkroom Door here in Australia. There are many more talented artists, some I haven't heard of but have checked out they're blogs etc and I'm looking forward to learning some new things from them too. I am very excited, so now you probably know which boxes will be unpacked first, of course my art supplies.
HERE is the link if you would like to check it out.

I did promise you some photos of my front window for Halloween. Only wish I could put more out, would love a Victorian Grave Yard out the front only thing is we've had things stolen in the past. I've noticed in the US a lot of people do decorate out the front, I wonder if anything goes missing? Would love to hear of any tips.
I will be spending this evening at my very first Paranormal Lock In at the one of the local Old Hotels here in Adelaide...... what better way to spend HALLOWEEN???? have a great night! Wish me luck!

Some shots from my Halloween project Graveyard from last year

.........................have a SPOOKY Halloween.........................

Thanks for dropping by.

12 Tags of 2015 October

Hello and welcome,

Have you all got your spooks on for Halloween? We have decorated the windows on our house which I will share soon. Today I am sharing my Tim Tag for October. My coffin die arrived just in time to have a play with it. I didnt take a lot of progress photos as I sort of got lost in the creative moment.

HERE is the link for the Tim Holtz blog where you can check out all the amazing entries.

I went for a witch themed type funeral. You will see in the photos there are skeletal remains in the coffin, so let's just say the witch whom I will name Hocus was reported missing back on 31 October 1781. It was also reported at the time of her disappearance she was involved in a broom collision whilst hosting an Acrobatic Broom Carnival during Halloween celebrations, but her body was never found. She was recently discovered by some archaeologists near an old farm house south of London. Detectives from the scene have stated there was definitely foul play and the area was cordoned off as crime scene detectives investigated further. Her remains were sent back to Salem where she will be laid to rest by the Salem Witches Council on 31 October 2015.  Hocus was a great lover of bats, hence the bats on her coffin.
RIP Hocus.

Ok that's enough story telling from me. Lol. Let's get on with it......I hope you like my tag!

How cool is this Coffin die. I cant wait to see if Tim brings out more accessories for it. I used black card stock and I added some silver paint around the edges.  I also added metal hinges and knob and some black texture paste around the sides. Then some bats which also have silver paint around the edges. The small altered tag is from Tim's Tiny Tabs and Tags die. The rub-on's are from Tim's collection and the cross and plate are from the accessory movers and shapers dies for the coffin.

This was taken before added the texture paste. I also added some wheels.

Here are the skeletal remains with one of Tim's new bottles which I recently received form my good friend Correana. I filled the bottle with Micro-beads. Thank-you Correana.x

Here I used a window die from my stash with Tim's Manila card.

Then I added Crackle paint. Be generous.

Leave it to dry completely.

When pulled from the non stick craft sheet it looks like this. Cool hey? I love this look.

Ok so this stamped book plate has been sitting on my desk for ever so I thought it would look good as a background, kind of like wallpaper.

Adhere with some Glossy Accent and cut out.

I have also added some Crackle Accent.

Just the window missing here as it wasn't completely dry yet.

Thanks so much for visiting today. Happy Crafting!!
