Tim's 12 Tags of 2015 - April

Hello and welcome,

Today I am sharing my Tim Tag for April.  Here is the link so you can check out all the amazing entries and of course Tim's Tags too. It is Winter here in Australia and sitting in by the fire reading a good book is all I have been thinking about, hence the books on the tag.
I hope you can find time to sit and relax with a good book or perhaps write in a journal.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Have a Wonderful Day!!

ANZAC DAY 100 years

ANZAC DAY (Australia and New Zealand Army Corps)

Hello and welcome,

Many of you would already know the 25th of April 1915 will mark the 100th Anniversary when Australian and New Zealand troops landed in Gallipoli.  Australians commemorate Anzac Day every year.  We attend a Dawn service to remember those who have fought and those whom have lost they're lives. Lets also remember those who fought so hard to save the lives of our troops too, the doctors and nurses. Our Heros!  It's the least we can do for all they have done for us.

I have created a folio to commemorate those who fought, which I will keep adding to as I source more information.  Many courageous people fought damn hard and unfortunately many paid the ultimate price and lost they're lives. I would like to take this opportunity to say
"Thank-you." Lest we Forget!

I am also entering this piece into a challenge at A Vintage Journey   'Through the Looking Glass.'
I have used acetate to form the windows on my Tag slide. You will find this on the inside of the folio.
I have also used one of Tim's monocles to peer through to the 1917 'One Penny' which was in circulation at the time of the WW1. You will find this attached to the gold envelope.
In the back you will also find a lovely vintage patterned paper with a matching frosted piece to complement it.
There is a also a Fragment piece with a soldier attached. So there you have it, plenty of pieces to look through.
I have used Distress Stains to create a vintage old look.

My Tim influence, Vintage, Grunge,

Country View crafts   is the very generous sponsor.

One of many Heroes!

Here is one of Tim's Fragment pieces with a soldier attached.

I have used many different papers.

I simply couldn't leave out these gorgeous frames that are from a pack of papers I purchased at Lincraft.

Here lies a letter to our Anzac's full of gratitude. The 1917 One Penny has been placed behind one of the Tim Holtz Monocles. Fits perfectly.

Here are some images of my Tag Slide where I have used acetate with Tim's papers.

Some Uniform Buttons.

Some Commemorative Coins, Envelopes, Ration Booklets Photos, and of course the all important Victoria Cross.

Here is the folio fully open. Don't mind the jar.

Thanks so much for stopping by and making it this far, such a long post I know.
If you have never attended a Dawn Service I do highly recommend it, go along to your local RSL it is truly amazing.

Have a wonderful day!

Beauty Journal

Hello and welcome,
Yes I am still very much alive and well. It's been a while between posts as I have been extremely busy preparing for a new store I am opening......all will be revealed shortly. I have to ensure everything is in order before I show you.

I do have something I can share,  another journal which was given to a friend of mine for her birthday.
The exterior is covered with Tissue Paper and I have added Tim's Distress Sprays. I have also used one of Tim's Ornate Plates.

On the interior I have used a Tim Holtz ring binder and large Cabinet cards, all the papers were tea dyed by hand.

To close the journal I used dyed Seam Binding, which I forgot to photograph.

Thank for stopping by.
